Exciting bottles continue to pour in here at dekantā, and recently we got what could be described as the greatest bottle of them all, the Karuizawa 1964! This bottle is so rare, and so valuable that some even think it’s worth holding a whole press conference to announce it to the world! We at dekantā are not going quite that far, but do know that if you want it, we have it!
Karuizawa 1964 is the oldest Japanese single malt ever, it was distilled in 1964, and bottled on Chrismas Eve 2012 from sherry cask #3603, making it 48 years old. In total 143 bottles were ever released.
This is the ultimate collectors item, an item you can be sure that will not loose value as long as people still want quality whisky.
